My K1 is S/N 2258, don't remember when I built it but believe around 2007. Would the pot wear out in 5 years? The rig isn't used that often and nearly always inside. It has always been in air conditioned and dry conditions. __ Elecraft

I notice the tuning pot seems to have more play than would have thought appropriate, can't say if this has increased. The jump happens at several particular frequencies on all bands. For example, 7055, 7130; 14055, 14130. Manipulating connections inside the case from the port to the board has

I built a 2-band board for 12M/10M from info posted in 2006. Receive is working fine, transmit output a little light at 1.5W on 12M and 0.8W on 10M. I haven't dropped R11 to 33ohms yet, maybe that will boost the output. Still, made a QSO for 1/2 hour to Western NY on 12M, about 1500miles. Report

Since the KFL1-4 module allows either 17 or 15 selected at build time, I'm wondering whether building say ??,20,1715 (leaving out 30M or 40M)is workable. It seems to me that this ought to work fine. With sunspot count increasing, am wishing for 4 band module more focused to the higher bands.
