[Elecraft] K2 Freq Counter Probe Assembly

2007-01-17 Thread Dennis Vavra
I need know if I am using the right component for const of Freq Counter Probe as described on Page 45. It calls for a 10pF axial-lead cap. I have something that looks like a small yellow resistor without stripes, with markings K1G 100J and BK4 0545 is this the right component for the probe?

Dennis, It sounds like you have the right one - the '100J' is the significant marking - the '10' part is the 2 significant digits and the '0' is the 'multiplier' (number of zeros to add), so '100' means 10 pf. - similarly '103' would mean 10,000 pf or 0.01 uf. 73, Don W3FPR -Original
