[Elecraft] K2 Hard Power Down/Power UP

Hi, I currently have my K2 powered by an Alinco switching power supply. Will it hurt the K2 to have it's power button always depressed (on) and turn the unit on and off by turning the power supply on and off (versus using the K2's on/off button)? My concern is that the switching power supply
