Debugging a problem on a friend's K3. Using an external band decoder that has pull up resistors, the BAND1 line output from the AUX connector is always high, and of course that is messing up the decoding function on about half of the bands. The radio is working normally otherwise.
Reviewing the schematics, it is seen that there is a series resistor in each of the BANDx lines. If that resistor were to open up, the symptoms observed would result. I am not close to the radio at the moment, but intend to check this out. In the meantime, has anyone seen this kind of failure, and if so, has the series resistor been the culprit? Thanks, and 73 - Dave N3RD ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
