I looked on the Dunestar website and found that the model 600 needs
decoded band selection. They mention the Top Ten Band Decoder.
The K3 band data outputs are encoded (see the manual for the encoding
chart), and so you will need some sort of band decoder between your K3
and the Dunestar

You'll need a band decoder. Try a Top Ten Devices Yaesu decoder or a
Universal Microsystems BCD 10, which is very affordable. These devices
convert from BCD to a separate wire per band.
