[Elecraft] K3 External key out

I connected my K3, external key out to my loop antenna control box to shut of the power to the amplifier when the K3 transmitter is keyed. It works fine in SSB mode but it CW it has no effect. Did I miss a setting somewhere in the menu? Gerry, W0GV
