Is it actually that easy to install? Yes, it is. Just remember, you really do want to use a static mat and wrist strap whenever you open up your K3 to work on something internal to it. I ran with the KTCXO3-1 from the time I built my K3 two years ago, but then added the K3EXREF and a Trimble

A guess is 10-15 minutes. I call it a guess because the KX3's TCXO is either similar or identical to the K3's, and the setup for temperature compensating the KX3's OSC requires 10-15 minutes of run time before the procedure is started. Even without the temp compensation, KX3 #6 was stable to +/-
