FedEx will deliver to the PO
This topic probably worn out. I ran a small ham radio business and
used USPS to domestic and international destinations with good
results (most of the time). There was one shipment to the UK that
was sent to Canada, and another to Germany was fowarded by funkpost
to Saudia Arabia

Claimed they did so the next 2 days, but they did not. When I called they
told me to pick up the item 30 miles away in another town. Asked them to
deliver to our town which they agreed to do and claimed
I don’t see how the delivery companies are keeping up. Parcel volume doubled in
four years and I expect it has been going at that rate for a decade or more.
I’m not at all surprised that they have problems. This article says that
carriers shipped 2,760 parcels per second in 2018 worldwide.
That stinks but I have had similar issues with both/all carriers. FedEx
can't reliably find our house after many called to the local station and
many many complaints. We had to get a box at a UPS store, irony..

Is this “white truck” vs “brown truck” match ever going to end? There many
horror stories abound on both sides. But none really “prove” anything. Both
have their ups and downs.
It’s Christmas, give it a break.

hope my amp isn't one of those horror stories.

Ouch.
I think at one point in time that Alpha Power was shipping their amps on
a Pallet to avoid damage.

If one can avoid it, one should NEVER use UPS to ship to Canada

I have vivid memories of a $100k rackmount computer UPS dropped (on a
pallet) from high enough the computer ended up 2" shorter and had to be
scrapped by the vendor.

When my Concept 2 rower was dropped off damaged; I was told by UPS that if a
heavy item is not shipped Freight it will be damaged. The why is, regular
shipping is handled by hand thus gets damaged, freight is by pallet and fork
lift.

Hi Joe:
I think all the courier services have gone downhill. They have us where
they want and not much we can really do.
Merry Christmas Joe.

Hi Joe:
Normally I would have used USPS, I have liked them in the past, however
due to the weight and cost it was not a good option. I wouldn't be so
ticked off, but my package went to customs 3 times, repeated billing me
of taxes and no less than 12 exceptions and this is all after the

Unfortunately, other than USPS, UPS is the best of a bad lot.
FedEx mess up more deliveries than they get

Hi Gordon:
I have the same here (K-Line K3S/P3/KAT500/KPA500) as a backup or maybe
time to sell that system off.
Not remote here, but have played with using the KPA500 remote software
but it keeps failing, looking for something (Driver) that isn't present.
KAT500 remote works fine though.
Also upgrading the shack, ordered a K4, have a KPA/KAT500 for the K3,
may order a second KPA/KAT500. I will not be ordering a 1500, 500 is
enough for what I want. I have one remote setup now, hope to be moving
it to a new location with lots less noise. I will start with my

Well I think that the KPA1500 has been out long enough that it is time
to bite the bullet and order one. Also ordered a K4D so big changes are
in store here, enough to keep the old mind active.
Merry Christmas to everyone
