I think so, but I'm going to have to take a look. It's certainly possible I stuck it in the wrong slot, even though I usually double check. - Chuck Teague NN7U -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/sub-goes-dead-tp7600193p7600228.html Sent from the Elecraft

[Elecraft] K3: Sub receiver goes silent at narrow bandwidth

2015-03-12 Thread Chuck Teague via Elecraft
My first post on this didn't make it to the list due to clerical error on my part, so here is attempt two. The sub-receiver in my K3 is equipped with a 2.7 5 pole filter in position 1, and a 400Hz 8 pole in position 5.  All works well until I narrow the bandwidth to 400 Hz, then the

Hi Wayne, No new synth. I first noticed the problem when using diversity, but it persists when the receivers are separated. I'm thinking it is probably a construction or installation problem and wanted to know if there are known errors that would cause this. NN7U -- View this message in

I've got to agree with Jim. I have both the K2 and K3. I enjoyed building my K2 as much as anything I've done in ham radio, and I still find ways to get in there and mess with it. It is a fine radio, BUT--the K3 is better in every respect IMHO. There are great bargains in used K3's coming on

Jim, this is very helpful info. I'm just in the planning process of taking my station solar and this is information that will help immensely. Thanks. Chuck NN7U - Chuck Teague NN7U -- View this message in context:

I have to join the chorus prising the K2. I've had mine about nine years and couldn't bear to part with it even though it has been replaced as the main station by the K line. I decide it needed a job so put it on JT65 where it just trucks along. I have W3FPR's fixed audio output in it as well

[Elecraft] P3 with KPod

2016-09-01 Thread Chuck Teague via Elecraft
I'm just getting started using macros, and would like to control the P3 via the KPod as much as possible. Can the Markers be controlled via the KPod knob. I can turn the markers on and off and qsy to one or the other, but can find no way to assign the P3 knob to the KPod knob. Am I missing

[Elecraft] P3 setup

2017-08-13 Thread Chuck Teague via Elecraft
Greetings to the group. I have been trying to recall how to set up the P3 so that the K3 frequency is aligned on the left side of the display. That is very handy for working dx where the dx signal is on the left side of the display and the pileup is spread out to the right. I've searched the

[Elecraft] P3 SVGA macro editor

2017-10-26 Thread Chuck Teague via Elecraft
Is there anything in the works to provide a macro editor for the P3 that allows creation and editing of the 50 macros in the SVGA? That would be really helpful and a vast improvement over the present, very limited, editing capability. Chuck TeagueNN7U

[Elecraft] K3 macro to tune memories from K-pod

2018-04-16 Thread Chuck Teague via Elecraft
I am trying to set up the K-pod to step through the K3 memories like using the M>V button and main dial.  To do so I've programmed 3 of the K3 pf buttons with one command each: Macro 14 (labelled M>V) = SWT23;Macro 15 (labelled MEM UP) = UP;Macro 16 (labelled MEM DN) = DN; I realize that the UP
