The stock cable is parallel conductors @ 5.5 feet long. Too short to
reach into the closet in my shack. I bought 10 feet of #6 and the 75 amp
powerpole connectors from Debco for about $22. I did not have the 75 amp
crimp tool and soldered the cable into the connectors.

I purchased 75 amp Anderson Powerpole connectors and #6 flex speaker
cable from Debco Electronics for my extension cable. #6 fit easily. I
suspect even #4 would have fit, but I see no reason to get that large.

The most important difference between the Elecraft KPA1500 and the
FlexRadio PowerGenius XL is that you can actually buy one of the
KPA1500s.
According to the FlexRadio website, the PowerGenius - announced over two
years ago - is still just taking reservations.

The user has two choices: use Regedit and mess with the Windows registry

h the KPA1500 turned off and phone situated 3 feet from the power
supply, the noise level in that closet is 28 DB. Turning on the
amplifier raises the noise level by 12 DB to 40 DB - a 12 DB difference.
Not much difference, and certainly not the "piercing power supply fan

I built a slightly longer cable to match the length of the control cable
that came with the amplifier (about 3 feet longer if I recall
correctly).
This allows the PS to operate "remote" in a closet with the door closed.

Ed,
Not seeing that here. SWR value unchanged at 10, 20, 30, 35 watts of
drive. Suggest you test into a dummy load to see if the problem goes
away, which would suggest some issue with power level into the feedline
or antenna.
