The K1 and K2 use a grey wrinkle finish. The K3 has a flat non-wrinkle finish. Most likely a good can of flat black spray paint will do what you want. I used WAL MART Color Place Rust Control spray paint to finish a pair of homebrew speaker cabinets to match my K3. It is Black Satin (21049), which I believe is between flat and semi-gloss. It looks very close to the Elecraft K3 paint.
