It's not the display server. It's gnome-session that fails to start gala
properly (or gala that fails when started by gnome-session).
See: https://bugs.launchpad.net/elementaryos/+bug/1252888
Workaround: perform this change manually on your system:
indicator such that it can be used for adjusting the volume.

Sergey,
What do you mean by 'embedding indictors into apps'? Does it mean one
installs for example Noise and the soundindicator is installed as well
to get rid of this dependency, but haven't had time to
investigate this. So for now I just also packaged libunity(-webapps).
Hope this helps.

Quick question: does the Elementary Dock have a hard dependency on
Unity? It's mentioned in the Luna page on the website but I've not
gotten that far in my packaging, so I can't tell yet if the dependency

- Preferences - Extensions and enable these plugins.
They depend on Pantheon Files (or Marlin) and DevHelp, which should be
installed to use them if I'm correct.

I just discovered that the bazaar repository for dropoff at lp:dropoff
has disappeared. The launchpad project still exists.
Has the repository been moved or what happened?

I like it as well, only the last entries will read a bit strange when
you choose a 'Do nothing' option. Furthermore the top buttons to switch
power mode look a bit strange to me... it is not entirely clear how it
works.

I guess dropping it for beta is a good idea. If there is a small set of users
only that require it, they can still install it when it is not present on a

64 bit binaries are slightly larger due to the larger pointer/integer

So, the link to get the modules on ubuntu one is not really the good

think it is in the dev guide, or something like that?
The draft dev guide contained a link to the bazaar repository owned by

I just updated it to the new location.
