branch so I can try fix some of the things that involve larger changes,
while I wait for mefrio to come back...

I wonder why it's in /+junk/ and not in /scratch/.
In case you're into testing, the code can be pulled along with its build
dependencies, merged with latest trunk,
It's +junk mainly made it that way to avoid me getting confused when
doing this kind of changes, also because I'm waiting for mefrio as he
requested, but I wanted to have so possible solutions/ideas to present
to him :) .
