OK. It seems the problem was with charset. I changed the charset from System
to iso-8859, and the meta characters also works fine. There is one issue left.

elinks from the git and now the alt-keys does not work. If I run my old elinks,
all the alt-key commands work fine, but not with the new one. Also, please send
