Only the parameter ':help-echo' seems not to be respected, if a link is used by
an abbreviated form as defined by the 'org-link-abbrev-alist'.

may I ask, how one would possibly access and set the formerly dynamically
bound variable
`org-font-lock-extra-keywords'
as this is still recommended by the doc-string of
org-font-lock-set-keywords-hook
now that org.el was switched to lexical binding by commit 1f49e9fd 01/10/2016
brackets ( [[ ]] ).
