It's odd. The value of org-file-apps-defaults-gnu is: ((remote . emacs) (system . mailcap) (t . mailcap)) And I checked my local mime file, which shows google-chrome is the default app to open html files: $ cat ~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list [Added Associations] application/epub+zip=F

when I type the keys `C-c C-e b', the html is generated but it is opened in emacs instead of an internet browser. Does anyone know why? I am using builtin org-mode in Emacs 24.2 (7.8.11) and set google-chrome as default browser. Thanks, Zhenjiang
