Re: [Orgmode] Export to iCal raises (error Selecting deleted buffer)

2008-05-02 Thread Carsten Dominik

Hi,

I cannot reproduce this bug. So you need to figure out what in your
setup is causing this problem, or come up with an example where I can
reproduce the problem.

Thanks.

not sure what exactly you mean here, something like

#+BEGIN_EXAMPLE

#+END_EXAMPLE

??? Is this question about exporting, or about editing the Org-mode
buffer?

Please help?

Re: [Orgmode] change the state of a TODO into a defined DONE state when all checkboxes are checked

2008-05-02 Thread Carsten Dominik

Hi Rainer,

so far it has been the rule that Org does not change
anything in a headline fully automatically, maybe because
I personally do not like this. Of course something like
this could be implemented - you are not the first to
request it. However, the matter is murky in my head because
of the mixing between check boxes and TODO items, and it
is not fully clear to me how a clean interaction between
the two should look like.

I mostly add checkboxes to my TODOs as I
mostly not only have to do what I do but also document it.
I often forget to switch the TODO
to DONE after checking the last checkbox!

so changing from here

* TODO Organize party [2/4]
  - [-] call people [1/3]
- [ ] Peter
- [X] Sarah
- [ ] Sam
  - [X] order food
  - [ ] think about what music to play
  - [X] talk to the neighbors

to here

* TODO Organize party [4/4]
  - [X] call people [1/3]
- [X] Peter
- [X] Sarah
- [X] Sam
  - [X] order food
  - [X] think about what music to play
  - [X] talk to the neighbors

would automatically switch TODO to DONE.
Maybe configurable? Maybe the done state is configurable too?

I have downloaded freemind.el from:
http://www.emacswiki.org/cgi-bin/wiki/freemind.el

Then I copy freemind.el to:
/usr/share/emacs22/site-lisp/

It is defined in freemind.el at line 830.

I use FreeMind version: 0.8.0-1 .

Re: [Orgmode] Bock quotes or indented quotes in org text

Charles Martin [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes:

Is this for exporting? The org manual says this:

. o O ( 12.6.4 Quoted examples --)
  ( )
( When writing technical documents, you often need to insert )
( examples that are not further interpreted by Org-mode. For )
( historical reasons, there are several ways to do this: )
  ( )
(* If a headline starts with the word `QUOTE', the text)
( below the headline will be typeset as fixed-width, to )
( allow quoting of computer codes etc.)
  ( )
(* Lines starting with `:' are also typeset in fixed-width )
  ( font. `C-c :' Toggle fixed-width for entry (QUOTE) or )
  ( region, see below. )
  ( )
(* Finally, text between #+BEGIN_EXAMPLE quoted text )
(#+END_EXAMPLE will also be exported in this way. )
  ( )

That's not really satisfactory for me, because most of the time when I
want to export a blockquote, it's not a code sample, but a block quote
from an article or such. I've ended up using

@blockquote
quoted text
@/blockquote

since I'm generally exporting HTML for blog usage. That's not perfectly
satisfactory, either (since I /could/ want to export to something else),
but it's good enough most of the time.

Are there a way how to solve this problem?

 Any advices will be appreciated!
