[O] complex searches with org-sparse-tree
Hello, Is there a possibility to get a sparse tree for a more complex query? For review purposes, I would like to get a sparse tree with (SCHEDULED = today) [if scheduled is set] or SCHEDULED is not set (org-sparse-tree) seems to be able to only to give me the first part, but it neither can give me a sparse tree where the SCHEDULED is not set nor can I merge the query. Any ideas? Thanks, Sebastian
[O] [wish] also provide documentation for contrib
Hi, I was about to fill a bug about debians org-mode package because it does not come with documentation for the org-mode contrib org-drill. However I believe that this issue should rather be raised to you as the upstream. I'd like to encourage you to consider any org-mode contrib in your distribution without accompanying documentation a bug. I don't know enough about the info system or your build system so I'll refrain from any suggestion. Thank you, Thomas Koch, http://www.koch.ro
[O] Bug: Stack overflow in equal [7.6]
Greetings, There is a Stack overflow when exporting org file to pdf via latex. So, I have a file ~/org/master.org which is 2885 lines long. After exporting the whole file to pdf, and then exporting only one its subtree to pdf as well, there is a stack overflow. These are the steps to reproduce it: 1. C-c C-e p (that is, export the file to pdf via latex) 2. move to the subtree 3. C-c C-e 1 p (that is, export the subtree to pdf via latex) Here is what I expect: 1. the master.pdf file with 102 pages 2. after exporting the subtree, the master.pdf file with 3 pages only This is what I get: 1. the master.pdf file with 102 pages 2. instead of an updated version of master.pdf after executing C-C C-e 1 p, I see this in the *Messages* buffer: Export buffer: Export subtree: Mark set Exporting to PDF... A closer look at org-reload revealed that it didn't work as advertised when files were compressed and/or the corresponding source files were missing (Cygwin does that by default for instance, you have to install the source files seperately). Getting this right has been surprisingly tricky (and uncovered a few bugs in Org and one or possibly two in Emacs), so I'm pushing this to master only for now. Re: [O] Org Mode TOOD two way sync tool
Sriram Karra karra.etc at gmail.com writes: I am the author of ASynK (http://karra-asynk.appspot.com), a PIM sync tool and framework written in python that works across a variety of PIM providers such as Outlook, Google and BBDB. I am considering extending ASynK to do a bi-directional sync of Outlook tasks to Org Mode tasks. To be able to do this I need a working read/write API for reading and creating TODOs in org mode. Offline parsers My first preference is to be able to parser org files without required Emacs - this is the approach that I have implemented for BBDB sync. I considered PyOrgMode (https://github.com/bjonnh/PyOrgMode/network), but it appears unable to process TODOs, or even recurring events. To be able to extend PyOrgMode so I can read and write TODOs, I needed a full description of the format of TODO entries in all its forms. The Org manual itself has this information, I'm sure but scattered all over the place, given its real audience. Can someone point me to some sort of a concise representation, if any, of the org file format grammar? Hi, I'm the maintener and creator of PyOrgMode, some contributors (that I can't thanks enough there), added many TODO related enhancements to it. If you want to give it a try, we may be able to work together in getting your needs included in PyOrgMode.
