Maybe the variable 'org-extend-today-until' can help.

To make your git fu a bit stronger, let me explain this:

'git revert' creates a new commit, that reverses the changes from the
given commit, so it's not, what you have had in mind (and what is common
for SCMs like SVN where you cannot rewrite the history). You are looking
for 'git reset':
  https://git-scm.com/book/en/v2/Git-Tools-Reset-Demystified

There are other ways, to achieve the same result:

Just rename the branch and checkout a new one with the old name at the
given commit. That gives you a nice backup for free.

Or utilize the 'reflog':

Hope this helps

Re: [O] http://orgmode.org/org.html "Short Contents" links seem to be broken

2017-12-20 Thread Uwe Koloska
Hi,

I can confirm this as an error. The links in the short contents link to
anchors starting with "toc_" but these are missing. Maybe they should
point to the corresponding parts in the detailed node listing.

The links in the pop up toc link directly to the sections in the manual
that have anchor names with only the name of the section and theses are
working fine.

Hope this helps

This is not documented directly but only in a footnote describing how
`org-edit-special' handles lines starting with special characters.

What type of blocks are affected by this?

I don't know wether this is a bug or not. But I know a way that works:

http://emacs.stackexchange.com/questions/5719/how-do-i-demote-promote-selected-subtrees/18216#18216

If you kill the region that you want to promote/demote and then use
org-paste-subtree with the needed number of stars before the paste
target, you get what you want.

as the subject says, I would like to get links from any browser (i

With firefox you can use the CoLT (Copy Link Text) add-on

with this format string
 : [[%U][%T]]
