I am having trouble getting a workable version of embperl2 beta 7 (6 doesn't work either) with xalan. I can get it to compile using xalan 1.2 and xerces 1.5.1, but when I run make test I get
Can't load '/usr/src/Embperl-2.0b7/blib/arch/auto/Embperl/Embperl.so' for module Embperl: /usr/src/Embperl-2.0b7/blib/arch/auto/Embperl/Embperl.so: undefined symbol: cerr at /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.6.0/i686-linux/DynaLoader.pm line 200.
Beta 5 compiles and runs OK using the same xalan/xerces libs/sources. And beta 6 and 7 compile and run for me fine when i don't build in the xalan support.
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. I tried on two redhat 6.2 boxes. On has perl 5.6.0 and the other has 5.6.1
