Different UL standards have different requirements for these capacitors.
It is my understanding that:
UL1950 (ITE) does not have an issue specifically with UL1283 capacitors
(yet)
UL1459 (Telephone Equipment) does have requirements specifically

I have a question about, now a days these Pentium processors

be operated atmuch higher frequencies. The outside clock

Note the term used by the FCC is exclusively. I noted that you said

CFR47 part 15 section 15.101 states which products require testing. A
micro-controller as stated only requires verification unless it
interfaces to a personal computer permenantly for use. Exemptions are
listed in 15.23, 15.103
I have a rep in Japan who is claiming that as of 1/1/99 our pressure
transducer products can ONLY have SI units marked on them due to some
Japanese Regulation. Anyone know anything about this? He has not been
able to produce the regulation so I am extremely skeptical.
