Hi everyone,
a recent project I've just finished was to take two shield rooms and make
them into one. Yes it took some work but wasn't difficult. Amongst the left
over parts is a door made by Universal in ecceptional condition, but it's
taking up space.
I can crate this up and ship it to
Sorry folks,
I got deluged with responses, and I'm only just getting to them. The write up
I offered to send out is part of my newsletter. It has some material in it
that would be considered publicity if I posted it to everyone: I don't want
to offend anyone.
I guess I talk a lot too, last
I think that goes for all.

Hi Group,
I am setting up pre-compliance EMC testing at our facility and need some
equipment to complete my setup. I was planning on a 3m shielded room with
the possibility of making it semi-anechoic when the budget allows. Our
products are large (relative to normal ITE equipment)with the

The UL Yellow books only apply to 'recognized' components. If the Rockwell
modem is 'listed', the Yellow Books will not contain that info.
George, if there is a UL file number on that product, contact your local UL
office and ask them.

Compliance with UL 1950 can be demonstrated with UL, ETL, and NRTL safety
marks. Thus, the UL Yellow book is one of potential sources of the license
information (look at the product mark first).

The PRC GB 4943 is virtually equivalent to IEC 60950 (1995 version).
The only delta I know of is that tests are to +/-10% rated voltage versus
the norm of +6%/-10%. A CB Certificate/Test Report, though not required,
is advised for time and cost purposes. The line cord must have CCEE
approval

Jess,
The equivalent China standard to IEC 950 is GB-4943.
I have just started to undertake some ITE approvals in China. If you

Everything you ever wanted to know about EMC can be found at
http://www.sma.gov.au/ http://www.sma.gov.au/ . Basically, the product
must comply with CISPR 22. In-country testing is not required. A local
representative/importer must apply for authority to apply the C-tick mark.
There are no fees.
Jess,
I believe it is GB 4943 but it is only based on IEC 60950 and compliance
with IEC 60950 does not equate to compliance with GB4943. You may wish to
know also that GB 1002 is a Chinese standard for mains power plugs.
