Hi All,
My $.02 worth...
I strongly disagree with what has been said regarding operation of
output fuses. You may have a case for input fuses/circuit breakers.
It is my belief that the purpose of this test, which is a cross

Clause 6.2 of EN 300386 states "The artificial network to be used is the one

Also if you wish, you can download this standard for free from ETSI's website.

S11 is the ratio of the reflected voltage to the forward voltage on a
transmission line. It is a phasor quantity, so it has magnitude and phase.
The in case of a ferrite clamp, one would put the clamp over the center
conductor of a transmission line, and then short the transmission line just

Hi All
Re-implementation dates, below is the best information available.
But it comes with a warning notice there are many variables to be sorted and
it does not appear to be very high on the EU priority list. So do not be

I'd like to add that the product need not operate correctly after a fault

Brian,
Is there any way to replace the offending Product D with another vendor? If
so, do it.
If not, can you configure the system without Product D? If so, do it.
If not, buy one Product D for your use in configuring complete systems.
Then have your customer buy your system less Product D

Gary,
I think the statement that you are looking for can be found in Part 2.803,
paragraph c (originally from OET Docket 94-45). The statement is:
