Enameled wire probably does not meet the requirements IEC60950-1, 2.5.10 for BI or RI. Even the Polyurethane/polyamide multiple builds for the MW1000 stuff cannot be considered BI. Hint: look at stuff from Furukawa and Rubadue, and wire having UL2353 and/or IEC60950-1 Annex U certification. And

Hi Ken, I recommend you look for an ASTM standard. There are plenty of standards covering hoses for specific uses. ASTM D380http://www.astm.org/Standards/D380.htm covers the basic test methods for rubber hoses. There are likely additional standards, but I just don't know what they are. The
