Moshe, We currently test all of our new products to EN 61326-1 Class B.
The radiated emission limits, as well as line conducted limits, are the same for Class B equipment as defined in EN 55011. The DOW is July 1, 2001. If you plan to be selling your product past July 1, 2001, it may be best to comply with this standard now. Please note that EN 61326-1 also includes harmonics EN 61000-3-2 and voltage fluctuations EN 61000-3-3 for Class B equipment. Of course, there is a lot of controversy on the required implementation dates for harmonics and flicker as stand alone documents. In addition to the current immunity requirements for EN 50082-1 (1992), EN 61326-1 also includes Surge 61000-4-5, Conducted RF 61000-4-6 and Voltage Interruptions 61000-4-11. You could comply with the existing EN 55011 and EN 50082-1 now, however, EN 50082-1 has also been revised to include -5, -6, -8 when applicable, and -11. The DOW for these revisions is currently set at July 1, 2001. Of course, there is controversy regarding the change from EN 50082-1 to EN 61000-6-1 (new immunity standard). The DOW's are conflicting.
