The differences between PAL NTSC go way beyond modulating RF. Even at
baseband, the monitors will be different one may not work with the other's
signal. The Frame rate, or vertical interval is different - NTSC based on
North American AC at 60 Hz, as opposed to European 50 Hz, and the Horizontal

Methinks I must protest against the keep adding until no more

As near as I can tell that was put in place by the FCC and others to minimize

Additional cards of a representative mix will be added until the emissions

A modulator for PAL is different than NTSC! PAL receivers use different
frequencies and I also think there are other differences!) . However, I
would assume that if you're in a locality that has PAL receivers then you
should be able to easily get a PAL modulator.
Remember also, that most new
Yes, they will spit out PAL format, but again it will be unmodulated so
I suppose you will need baseband inputs or a modulator as I do.

In an experiment we performed using a 16 slot rack we determined that the
noise floor level increased with the number of cards we added to the system.
But we also observed that the spectral line associated with the primary

You can pick up a not feeling well or dead - older VCR in thrift shops or
garage sales for 2-5 dollars. Most all of them had packaged modulators
inside. A check of the modulator by connection to a TV and checking for
sync is advisable. Remember to measure the voltage prior to ripping it out

Does anybody know if the 8590 series can spit out PAL format ? and if
the same modulator would do the job ?

Radio Shack sells an RF modulator that will do the job. If you feed it to a
VCR you can also record the results as well as view it on a TV set. As
mentioned, it produces NTSC compatible video on CH3 or 4. Price should be
around $25. U.S.

QQPX2 would be the UL category you should check. ITE or other type power
supplies will not do for a hazardous location.
