Chris, Try using a PI filter made out of two caps and a resistor (or at least a
resistor and then the cap). This combination will work at low RF freqs. and is
relatively inexpensive. For higher RF frequencies try changing the resistor to
a ferrite. Depending on the frequency you are having
Hi Tania,
Of course. I have the following to share (below), some of this has
appeared on this forum in the past. If any forum members have more to add,

I also recommend the Schaffner charts. They are just packed
with good reference information!
Put them up next to your screen room, situated so when you
have a visitor, the charts would be visible over his shoulder.
The next time some wise guy who has just taken an EMC

I got a set of these free from Schaffner earlier this year (paper
versions) and would heartily recommend them for any office, lab or
test house that is remotely EMC related. The information is quite
invaluable and if you don't like
All,
Just a note of thanks to those folks who had responded with double crimp

Much appreciated.

Oh dear, I was going to post a similar help message. Same problem except it
is an audio amplifier and the test is radiated immunity.
I can't possibly fathom out the demodulation process so I have to stop the
RF getting in to the product. It doesn't help having the input and output
Hi all,
I think this is OK, tell me if not!
Schaffner has put out a series of colour wall charts. There are 4 covering
emissions, immunity and automotive test requirements. There are Adobe Acrobat
versions, or there are 0.7m by 1m paper versions.
The Adobe Acrobat version can be downloaded
Hi all,
since the question has been asked, I feel oblighed to offer that Schaffner is
stepping up to the plate for the Harmonics and flicker requirement, we've
just completed installation of a 50 kVA system... but we have smaller;-

Art 400-7 has uses permitted for flexible cords
Art 400-8 has uses not permitted
400-7 refers to 645-5 for specific permissions regarding Data Processing cables
I think what you are probably looking for is in Art 645-5(d)

Hi members,
I have a quick question here for you, just we need to
know your experience
comments regarding to the so-called Clamp-on ground
resistance tester.
We need such kind of tester to take measurements of
grounding resistance in the
field, it seems such type of Clamp-on tester very
useful
