Agency Compliance Engineer:
Responsible for directing all activities relating to the research,
identification and analysis of regulatory requirements in compliance with US
State and Federal agencies, as well as Canadian, European, Australian, New
Zealand, and South American agencies. Interacts with all levels of
functional management to review and evaluate requirements, compile necessary
material, and solve problems associated with obtaining compliance.
Recommends new or revised policies and procedures as necessary to develop
and control submittals which meet schedules and regulatory requirements.
Ensures timely preparation of organized and valid submissions. Interfaces
with regulatory agencies on questions arising out of submissions or test
results. Maintains understanding of all applicable requirements to advise
project manager and ensure product compliance. Provides support for customer
compliance issues throughout product life. Provide suggestions for
improvement for design team. Provide progress report for all agency
activity. Requires a minimum of BS Engineering degree; 5 years minimum
application experience in obtaining international compliance in North
America and Europe for computer and related equipment; good written and
verbal communications skills. Must be multi-task oriented and able to
problem solve and work independently. Some travel required. Related areas:
UL / FCC-68 / cUL / CS-03 (Including Canada).
