I'm not sure, but I believe the orange outlets mean that the outlet is
protected with backup power, e.g., a generator, in case of lost power from the
grid. I've seen these in hospitals. I don't know if it's in the NEC or not.
Anyone?

Does anyone in the collective know about _where_ Bellcore spells out any sort
of redundancy requirements.
There is a buzz about L-10 requirements and I'm not sure where this comes
from.
TIA.

I thought I would try to contact the collective on this one...
We have a shelf system that is failing GR-63 hygro dust with excessive bit
errors (unit did pass Gaseous contaminants no problem). Air is filtered.
Anyone have experiences that they would like to share (non-proprietary of
course)
Hey Folks:
Here's an article about cell phone manufacturers providing SAR info right on
the boxes.
But, what's interesting, they don't have to put the data on the box, just how
to get it from the FCC.

Just to add a little to this...
Make sure UL1950 is 3d edition...
And I don't believe Clause 6 applies since you don't direct to the PSTN.
Thus, no FCC Part 68 either.
Don't forget about EN 55 022 and EN 55 024 if you're selling in the EU.
Check with the lab that you'll use for testing for more
Anybody have any decent solutions to passing GR-63 needle flame with regards to
fiber service loops and their associated connector boots? This has to be a
common problem.

The European Union commissioners have announced that agreement has been reached

Can anyone point me to a source regarding the clarity of the laser warning
label per CFR 1010?
I'm talking about things like size, fonts, etc.
We need to attach a pretty small label to the front of a product.

Just out of curiosity, how come assembled from FCC Class B compliant
components seems to fly but CE + CE = CE obviously does not?
What am I missing here?
BTW, I don't have much faith taking a piece of equipment that has been
assembled from FCC Class B compliant components to a test lab and

We treat the 48V input as a secondary voltage with primary voltage
rules. Therefore, you will have to hold to the _reinforced_ distances
for creepage and clearance.
