Charlie, It seems to me that you will eventually be limited by the metallurgy of the fusible element. Most fuses are made of NiCr wire or other alloy with nickel content. NiCr does have a melting point near 1400 C, but I've never run across a thermal fuse that goes beyond 200-250 C. I suppose
