There will be a Northeast Product Safety Society / CNEC Product Safety
Engineering Society meeting today, March 24th, at the Holiday Inn,
Boxborough MA.  A social hour with light refreshments will begin at 7:00
PM and the technical meeting will start at 7:30 PM.  Tom Revesz, EMC
Sales Manager for HV Technologies, will present this month’s topic
concerning CE Mark Testing to IEC 61000-4 evolution from Edition 1 to
Edition 2.  If you will be in the area, please feel free to join us as
advanced notice or membership in NPSS or IEEE PSES is not required.

Tom Revesz is the EMC Sales Manager at HV Technologies, Inc. based in
Manassas, VA.  He is responsible for North American sales, service, and
support of the EMC-PARTNER & Montena EMC brands of conducted and
radiated pulsed transient immunity test equipment applicable to a broad
range of worldwide commercial, industrial, military, and avionics test
standards.  Tom has an extensive technical sales and marketing
background in the EMC Industry, having been affiliated with different
manufacturers of transient test equipment as well as an EMC Test Lab.
Tom holds a BSEET from Cal Poly Pomona and MSB from Johns Hopkins
University.

Tom’s presentation will cover of the most significant recent changes to
basic conducted transient immunity test standards applicable to CE Mark
Testing.  He will discuss IEC 61000-4-2, -4, -5, -11 for ESD, EFT,
SURGE, and VDI  as they evolve from Edition 1 to Edition 2.  The most
recent corrigendum's to the standards and discussions within the IEC
surrounding them will also be discussed.

If you or anyone you know would like to give a product safety technical
presentation, please contact Steve Brody by email at
steven.br...@brooks.com.  A technical presentation should be 45 to 60
minutes in duration and be related to product safety.  Although the
presentation may reference your company and it’s services, the
presentation must not be simply company advertising.  We would also
appreciate any slides or handout materials be made available for posting
on the NPSS web site.  Releasing presentation materials for posting is
desired but not a requirement to make a presentation.
