There's a link to this page from the main EmcKnowledgeBase page under

Would this be an FYI to submit to the grub developers?

I know some of you think size matters.

I am thinking of using a small rack mount cabinet to house the computer,
keyboard monitor for a mill conversion that we are about to undertake.
I am thinking of using something like the HP Proliant DL360 with one
Mesa 5I20 card in the open PCI slot. Here is a link to one on ebay:

DL360 is not a blade, but should work just fine.
The minus is that it is huge, loud, and old.

It seems to me the total cost likely would exceed the cost of a system
based on a new mini/microATX motherboard with integrated Atom CPU like
the Intel D510MO or its competition.
YMMV.

DL360s have a graphics card, to be able to work as a Windows server.

D510MO is smaller, has one legacy PCI slot plus parallel port (on IDC
header) and seems to work fine on EMC2. It has graphics good enough to
run Axis.

OOps, sorry, I thought that was another Intel motherboard model #,
but it is a whole system. There are some nice packages for the mini-ITX
boards that get the entire system down to 7x7x2 or so.

Yes, DL360 is a HP rackmount server from 5 or so years ago.
There is a reason why everyone dumps them cheaply.
My package is about 5x10x6 inches or so. Stuff still accessible, but still
takes relatively little space.

I needed to test an RC servo, so I used pwmgen and a parallel port
