Hello,
FYI, EMC was mentioned in a two page article, "Automate Your Home Shop
Computer-controlled shop tools need not cost a fortune," in the IEEE
Spectrum Magazine, June 2009, pp22-23.
Here's a link to the online version:

Hello, William,
I am using Eagle PCB design software from: http://cadsoft.de and then
the ULP code from pcb-gcode located at: http://www.pcbgcode.org/ and
they work together just great.
Eagle runs on one Ubuntu box then gcode files are transfered to the EMC
machine for milling.
I'm running Ea
Hello, EMCers,
Am back from Mom's and Thanksgiving--sorry to see I missed out on the
conversation regarding antenna rotor control! Thanks, Kirk, Gene, Jim,
and others for great comments on these rotor/controllers.
There was some question about how the controller would be used. My hope

Hello,
Am interested in using EMC2 to control some traditional antenna
rotators, like the Alliance U-100. These are AC motors that are turned
on/off and reversed using relays (have known these to be called
"bang-bang" controllers).
I would like to use a triac and encoder feedback to control t
Hello, All,
CNC is just good fun but sometimes I like to work with things I can't
see, electromagnetics (i.e. antennas). Hope you find the EMC-based
project I've started, the Enhanced Machine Controller-based Antenna
Range (EMCAR), interesting. You can see it at emcar.sourceforge.net.
I'll b
Of course,
I could change the default file, or link to something else, or
Thanks, and thanks for EMC2--it just works!
