Hi all, A new version 1.7.2 of gcmc has been released.
This is mostly a bugfix release. The version jumps two points because an assertion bug was found just after 1.7.1 was released. The major additions to this version are the reduced stroke (Hershey) sans-serif font and the addition of the engrave() library function to handle engraving of the typeset text more easily (see examples). The SVG backend now uses SVG transform functionality to ensure proper scaling and positioning and should be more standards compliant. The SVG backend also handles bounding boxes of arcs at the edges to define the document's size properly.
