Well I ran into a bit of a snag with Axis and I think it might be a Tkinter version problem. Mint is 8.6 and wheezy is 8.5. Gscreen works fine. JT On 11/13/2015 3:30 PM, John Thornton wrote: > LOL I forgot who sent me the scrip to get RTAI on Linux Mint but it > worked. I just installed

I used these instructions: http://gnipsel.com/files/linuxmint/LinuxMint%20Notes.txt and this script: http://gnipsel.com/files/linuxmint/setup.sh and got these errors when I tried to run Axis: http://gnipsel.com/files/linuxmint/Errors.txt gscreen runs fine and so does glxgears Thanks JT On

LOL I forgot who sent me the scrip to get RTAI on Linux Mint but it worked. I just installed LinuxCNC instead of using a RIP. I even got email working on Mint in 1 minute and have never gotten to to work on Wheezy. Thanks JT

I have Mate on both my Wheezy computers now and it's ok but still a very annoying interface. I suspect it is the Debian under the hood or just a lack of time spent on Mate to make it at least as good as Ubuntu 6.06 and 8.04 was. JT On 11/2/2015 4:53 PM, andy pugh wrote: > On 2 November 2015

I have Linux Mint 17.2 and like the interface, are there any instructions on how to patch the kernel for real time? I ran uname -r and it reports 3.16.0-38 generic in 17.2. Cinnamon and Mate seem to be the best for me, I could not figure out where the turn off button was in XFCE lol. Finally
