Pete I'm in East Tennessee as well. Wichita is a long drive from
here. I know because I spent most of my Air Force time at McConnel
AFB in Wichita. That was back in '69 to '72. I've often thought
about going back to visit since I was a resident there so long I
almost became a nativeYou

East TN is a lot closer than E. WA.

My father and I will be there.. I don't know if for the whole week or
at least the end of the week/weekend. I can't wait to see every one

Gentlemen,
The Fests as Roland's were very interesting and fun. When I attended
there it was without an agenda and few questions prior to arrival. I just
watched and listened and LEARNED. Very useful time spent.

If not 7i39, where to seek for PWM / dir or analog amplifiers, servo
motors? Would you give some good suggestions?

Sounds as if there will be quite a few linuxcnc developers here so it will

Use one of these scripts:

depending upon which release of Ubuntu your Zorin distribution is based

imho, you will have a lot more simple installation if you go for
linuxcnc CD strait that trying to install it on Zorin (assuming that you
want to use Zorin as it is close to windows, Ubuntu is not that
complicated). Anyway, main installation step are there:

this the place that has the massive five axis Cincinatti machine? Peace

Hi,
Installing linux CNC on a different distribution is far from easy, as it
need real time capabilities (RTAI). If you want to use different OS, you
can simply install as many as you want on different partition. What you
need is a few minute figuring partition size and to not use entire disk

You will probably need to compile for your Lnux distro - not a good idea if you

Hello,
I am new to Linux cnc and Linux in general so forgive me if this is

I would like to run Zorin or some other OS besides Ubunto. Thanks.
