The so-called pci_8255 driver in emc is *only* for the futurlec card with 3 8255 chips and a tiger-320 PCI bridge. It will not work without modification on any other type of card. (and according to user reports, not even that card works when any of the ports are set to input mode) Jeff

There is an issue with the pci_8255 driver at the moment. If any of the pins are set to inputs - it will hardlock the computer after a certain amount of time. (not really sure as I have not looked at it for a few weeks iirc it seems to be dependent on how many times the input gets switched.)
