I am new to this with LinuxCNC and just dowloaded latest ISO, do install
OK but cannot login = get message = wrong password.
Tried install in Swedish and US = same problems.
Have since long time ago Ubuntu 10.04 /2.5.0 with dual boot W7 + Mach3
and it works in this PC so I decided to

This how it works in W7 = only PW ( hard to learn old dogs to sit ;) )
And I have been barking like hell all evening, burning several DVD's etc

oil should be oozing out from slideways, if not old oil can be clogged
in the oil lines.

This how it is done on my Lathe.
Fixed Limit at the far end from chuck, adjustable Home and movable Limit
closest to chuck.
1 switch NC handles Limit and Home.

OK, managed to get me a spiral with 6mm pitch 3mm wide.
So now I have to try tracing out sutable parts from scroll and copy over
the other, each trace from start and end of scroll.
Then make a 3D print to verify my doings.

can do that. I don't see any reason why I couldn't make a
chuck in Fusion. Then once you have the model you can use some of
Fusion'stoolpath generators to create the g-code. The software is free but
the skill needed to use it take time.

The VFD probably won't do any harm but won't tell you much about the
encoder/resolver.
