I have some sort of a mini gun with a cartridge of that loaded already.
So all I need to do is find a skinny gun connector. :)

Thanks Todd.

Now that I have good drawings, piece of cake, although I did grab some
bad material and spent quite a bit of time chiseling the packed up tool
out, and used a good cup of ButterCutt keeping it clean. So thats made
and partially assembled.

Being out in the hinterlands of WV, nobody stocks metric bolts deep
enough to keep me in the right bolts. so I now have about 6 to bite off
8 to 10mm of, and grind away the cut end until it fits the threads
again. By then my back said it was quitting time, so thats tomorrows
job.

Then I should have mounted it about 2mm left as I don't have room to put
a grease fitting in the nut unless its a straight 1/4-28, but I don't
think even that will allow a gun nozzle's access.

And everytime I look up lube recommendations I get a different story.
This writer for so-and-so wants 10w non-detergent, the next guy wants a
high grade 10w-40 detergent, and the third guy wants white lithium
grease.

Cheap, rolled C7 grade screw, what would you folks put in it at about one
gun pump a month?

Thanks everybody.

Why would you buy a mount when you have a mill? surely one that you
make yourself will fit with fewer compromises?

Not a lot Roland, that several page long chart is for the nuts
themselves. Nut mounts, other than what they should do well in terms of
alignment with the nut to screw axis, aren't mentioned anyplace in that
nominally 206 page pdf.

Google for "ball nut mount footprints", and this one fits the screw I
have perfectly, is the "hip roofed" style for a 2505 screw. There are
also square topped varieties.

Go here:

scroll to the bottom of the page. The lower left image is the style of
nut mount I have. Clicking on that image, which I didn't know you could
do, links eventually to:

Which agrees 100% with the DSG charts for a 2505. So now I have 2
different sources for a footprint drawing whose data match. It looks
like I have some measurements to double check once the pills and coffee
kick in. Thats sort of an osmosis like process. :)

Thanks Roland. I appreciate the effort to help.
