Well, the code seems to be working fine for most cases. But it's rather
concerning that the main repo seems abandoned.
Perhaps we can maintain fork(s)?

I'm sorry to say after looking at https://github.com/vgough/encfs and
especially the Status description on that page, I've reluctantly
started transitioning to ecryptfs.
