[Enigmail] keys generator - other email

2020-11-14 Thread Alex Moricone

Hi,

what is this option for?

I tried to generate keys for other known me email address. I would like
to generate keys for tests to use in other email aplication. I thought
when this box is unchecked, I could input any email address (even non
existent) :( But it doesn't work.

Any help? :) Regards

Alex

Hi Patrick (and others),

I have never used PGP for mail communication but now I want to start.
Is there any best practice guide for Enigmail and generally PGP for
users like me? I don't want to redicover America :)

Every day I use Thunderbird, Interlink 52 (with Enimail latest *2.1.8
(20200906-1523)*), Protonmail.com (web) and some other webmails
(gmail.com). Later I would like to integrate PGP into my webmails services.

Thanks for your respond

Regards

Alex

ps. (Polish) a czy jest tu jakis polski pomocnik/user?

The idea of the box is that, when checked, the account will be
configured to use the new generated key.

As Enigmail is a mail extension, it does not have a function to create
keys for email addresses that you didn't configure in Thunderbird.
