an autofoo guru, and many things about this are still a great blackbox,
for me ^_^
For what's worth, I have TWO versions of imlib2, one from debian package
(in standard /usr) and another from CVS (in /opt); the headers are only
the CVS ones, though.

- check for external deps (such as automake 1.7 and co.)
- build embrace or other non-autofoo-based apps
- build apps that I haven't built at least once.

Just pure curiosity: I checked out CVS, and building debian packages I noticed
that edb wants libgtk1.2-dev.
Why?
It isn't better to rely only on Gtk2, as now?
