Given that I sprung the E18 freeze with no advance warning, this time there will be advance warning.
The freeze for E19 will begin in one month, on 28 Feb 2014. After that point, I am likely to reject most* requests for feature additions, and I will be shifting into release mode. It's been ~6 months since E19 development began and even longer since the E18 feature window closed, so this should have been ample time for people to consider and develop new things for the E19 release. Additionally, I will be closing the window for NEW reviews of features as of 21 Feb 2014, which is one week before the freeze begins. I don't want to end up with a situation where I get a deluge of last-minute requests that I've never seen before, so if you have something to merge, SEND IT TO MY ATTENTION BEFORE THIS DATE. * Note that this does not apply to any Wayland-related "features", which can and likely will be worked on heavily until the final E19 release. ---------------------------------------------------------- ==FAQ== Q: When will E19 be released?
