I have backported a few things from elm_code onto this branch (as who knows
when that major release is coming).
I omitted anything in the realm of interfaces and themes so it should be ok.
Working fine here :)

more fixes to the stable branch already.
If you have anything else pending for a backport please do so until Sunday
evening in your timezone. I will prepare pre-release tarballs on
Monday and if nothing comes
