Can someone please explain what is the difference in attributes/functionality
between Background and Overlay? Is overlay meant to be used for gadgets which
you don't want shown all the time and you're meant to activate via some key
binding?
I have gadgets in Background only.
On Wednesday
I run a java application. If I switch desktop and then back to the
desktop with the application, the application will no longer accept
mouse or keyboard input.
I tried it with fluxbox and openbox where it continues working after
switching desktops.

I am asking because recently I noticed that on occasions the Mixer gadget does
not show up. This has started happening since I installed pulseaudio.
