Thanks, I got this working.
I had built EFL 15.0 from source, but it looks like there was some
stuff hanging around from a previously-installed package.

Yeah, this is a known issue with E19.7 and the EFL 14 series. It's the
reason why E19.8 was released so quickly. Download the latest source code
and you should be fine.

and get a different, more debilitating problem: I can only make a
single click anywhere within any of the Enlightenment-specific (Evas?)
windows (e.g. the About Enlightenment dialog), with subsequent ones
being ignored. I'm not
