Hello :)
I just finished a cvs update, deleted everything in the config folder
and restarted enlightenment.
With the default theme (have not tried any other) it is still possible
to move maximized windows around if you don't use the FULLSCREEN policy.
FULLSCREEN maximized windows stay where
where was the question again?

It should not be possible to move max'd windows around or change their
size if I remember correctly.

There is now a configuration option to control that behaviour.
pgpIE8sz1O3Yu.pgp
Description: PGP signature
The option:
Configuration - Configuration Console - Window Manipulation Settings
- Advanced Settings - Allow shading/resizing
has no effect here.
Does not matter what maximizing policy I chose and if I enable or
disable it.
FULLSCREEN is always a fixed window. SMART, FILL and EXPAND is not.
this option does NOT control whether windows can be moved or not. In
Fullscreen mode, windows cannot be moved, in the rest, they can. It does
control whether they can be resized or shaded, and it works on my side.

except FULLSCREEN can me resized and moved irrespective of this option

I made a small video to show that behaviour.
(the movie plays too fast with my mplayer-plugin but I hope it is a bit
of use anyways).

the resize part is a bug, but the moving part is not (see my previous
mail if you are wondering why)

the bug is not with the dialog option - it is in the maximise code.
Both conditions ARE bugs, the dialog has nothing to do with it...
Honest.
