Wait, this is RPM that's complaining about the dependency ?? If so, it *must* find a copy of Imlib, installed via RPM and in RPM's database, or it will complain. Since you have Imlib installed by other means, and have setup /etc/ld.so.conf already, use the force option with RPM. Something like
