Thanks, that did it. Have to set win + scroll up and win + scroll down
separately to the action 'Change current window opacity' and set the
action params. I used +1 and -1. Now, is there a way to modify the
theme to reduce opacity on windows that are not in focus?

I haven't checked yet, but I think you can set a mouse shortcut to change
window opacity. Something like 'win + scroll'.
Check in the mouse binding conf
