For some reason I also have not been able to access enlightenment.org from a bunch of different networks. In the end, I set my DNS servers to directly use the authoritative name servers for the enlightenment.org domain (found via whois). Here's the BIND9 entry I am using: zone "enlightenment.org

How about edit the Entrance theme and change the login box from being centred to being a fixed distance from the left edge?
